Tips for Getting the Best Suntan During the Summer Season or Vacation

Are you planning for an upcoming vacation? The holidays, which are right around the corner, tend to offer a brief escape from reality and your responsibilities. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean that you cannot use the opportunity for purposeful reasons. In fact, your upcoming vacation could provide you with the perfect opportunity to catch some rays and add a beautiful, brown hue to your skin. Below, you’ll find tips for getting the best suntan during the upcoming holiday season.

#1 Visiting A Foreign Spa

Whether you’re travelling to Costa Rica or Miami, Florida, it is almost certain that you’ll find a spa or two along the way. Visiting a spa at home is wonderful, but visiting a foreign spa is even better. You’ll meet unique individuals, receive a great rubdown, and you’ll be given the opportunity to use a tanning bed. What is the difference? When you’re away from home, you will not have to worry about rushing back to work or receiving a call from your child’s teacher. Soak up those UV rays without a worry in the world.

#2 Visit A Naughty Beach

In all likelihood, you know someone that has visited a nude beach. This is something that everyone should experience at least once! Not only will you have a good laugh and experience something unique, but simultaneously you’ll be able to add a little more brownness to your skin. Just make sure you’re okay with showing off your naughty side, before venturing to one of these beaches.

#3 Get A Base Tan at Home

There is a good chance that your vacation is only going to last a few days. If you’re lucky, it may extend up to a week. Nevertheless, this isn’t always enough time to get a full tan. Getting a base tan before leaving home is a good idea. In many cases, a base tan will help protect your skin from sunburns, while also making it far easier to get a darker and more satisfying tan.

#4 Get Outside During the Middle of The Day

Many people believe that they need to lay on the beach to get a tan. This isn’t always true. In fact, just going from a stroll during the middle of the day can help brown your legs, neck and arms. Generally, the sun is highest between 11 AM and 3 PM. If you seriously want the best tan humanly possible, you will want to get outside during these peak hours. Just be cautious, because the sun is strongest at this time and it can increase your risks of burning.

#5 Wearing the Right Clothes

Many people do not feel comfortable wearing provocative clothing. Nevertheless, wearing clothing that is a little more revealing can be beneficial for helping you get a tan during your next vacation. Wearing smaller clothing will make it possible to expose more of your skin to the sun’s rays. In return, this will give you the ability to get a tan no matter what you’re doing. Remember that some destinations have stricter clothing requirements than others. Be cautious when wearing seductive clothing where it may be prohibited.

#6 Beach Destinations

Many people choose beach destinations as their summer vacation, because they feel their body needs a lot of rest and relaxation. While this is true, it is also the best way to get a base tan or build on a base tan, without compromising a vacation. Since your accommodations are located right next to the beach, you will just have to don your bathing suit, walk outdoors and sunbathe until your heart is content.

#7 Cruise Vacation

It is not unusual for someone to want to catch a few hours of sun, while they are on vacation. However, many people will avoid doing so because they do not want to offend their travel buddies. By choosing a cruise vacation you will be able to soak up some sun, while everyone else enjoys the pool or other activities provided by the cruise line. You can also choose a cruise destination to a beach, so you can spend your entire vacation in the sun.

#8 Resort with Tanning Bed

Most resorts provide amenities, such as swimming pools, saunas and hot tubs, for their patrons. Some will also offer tanning services, such as a tanning bed. The great benefit of tanning beds is the tanning time is most often limited to 20 to 45 minutes. This means that you can get up early, go to the tanning bed and be back to your room, before everyone else wakes up. So, when everyone else is ready for breakfast or sightseeing, you will also be ready.

#9 Tanning Salons

In the past, people only had the option of sunbathing outdoors to get a tan. Today, they can go to the tanning bed, utilize tanning creams and now spray tanning. Regardless, if your vacation is consumed with activities, you can still find time to visit a tanning salon. Of course, this is a fake and temporary tan, but it will work wonderfully for a vacation. Tanning salons are located in proximity of motels, shopping malls and tourist destinations, so you should not have any issues finding one in your locality.

#10 Take Advantage of The Balcony

If you find yourself with some downtime, you should consider setting out on the balcony, which may even be large enough for a beach towel. Just make sure that your room faces the morning or evening sun, so you can soak up a few hours, when you do not have anything else to do. You do not even need to lie down on the ground, instead just sit in a chair, which should be available through the motel.

#11 Outdoor Family Activities

Family vacations are designed specifically for bonding. Since you will probably be participating in a lot of outdoor activities, such as volleyball, Frisbee tossing, bird watching, bike riding and badminton, you can take this opportunity to catch some sun. These are great activities for family and those who want to get a tan.
